Jacksonville Veterans Invitational 2025

We hosted our inaugural Invitational in 2024, with 6 teams competing, including two of our own. The 2025 invitational will be twice the size with 12 teams competing. It's going to be an incredible event at the Community First Igloo, July 11-12, 2025. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please visit our sponsor page. Annual Hicks Cup 2025

The annual Hicks Cup event is our program's Stanley Cup Final. It is a dedication to Marine Private First-Class Wesley Michael Hicks, a comrade of our organization’s founder, Dave Wezniak. In 1999, Pfc Hicks took his life. It is because of that event that the Pfc Hicks Cup was dedicated to every Veteran that has a mental struggle. Every day, 22 US veterans take their lives.

The Hicks Cup represents the ones we could not save, and the ones we continue to save. The Annual Hicks Cup will be hosted on March 1, 2025 at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Tampa Warrior Hockey Academy

The Tampa Bay Lightning, in collaboration with the Malone Family Foundation, hosted the inaugural Warriors Hockey Academy on September 22nd, 2024 at Amalie Arena. The one-day hockey skills and wellness camp was an opportunity for Veterans, Active Duty Military, and First Responders, to enhance their hockey skills and overall well-being. The event will be led by Ryan and his father, Greg Malone, along with several Lightning Alumni, including Mathieu Garon, Jassen Cullimore, Braydon Coburn, Ruslan Fedotenko and others.

The event hosted 80 participants from across Florida, representing seven different organizations, including the Tampa Bay Lightning Warriors, Central Florida Warriors, Tampa Bay Firefighters Hockey Club, Tampa Bay Police Hockey Club, Panthers Warriors, Pinellas County Stars (Pinellas County Police) and the Jacksonville Icemen Warriors.
